An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented *Master Data Finance Assistant* to join a leading global professional services organisation based in *Manchester City Centre*. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive, collaborative finance team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of *customer and supplier master data* across financial systems. This position is ideal for someone with previous master data experience within a shared service centre or large organisation who is passionate about delivering high-quality service and contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate and onboard new customers and suppliers within relevant finance systems.
* Act as the central point of contact for the maintenance and ongoing management of customer and supplier master data.
* Respond to master data queries and requests while adhering to agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
* Manage and resolve Zendesk tickets efficiently and accurately.
* Ensure all master data internal controls are maintained and monitored effectively.
* Escalate complex issues or complaints to senior members of the finance team when required.
* Complete onboarding documentation for new customers and ensure all required information is captured.
* Set up invoicing portals where required as part of the customer onboarding process.
* Support audit requests and provide relevant documentation as needed.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
* Participate in training, development initiatives, and performance management processes.
* Contribute positively to the team culture and attend meetings as required.
Key Skills & Experience
* Previous experience working with *Master Data* within a finance or shared service environment.
* Excellent *attention to detail* with a strong focus on data accuracy.
* Strong *numeracy and data management skills*.
* Proficiency in *Microsoft Excel*.
* Experience working in a *fast-paced, high-volume environment*.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
* A proactive mindset with strong organisational skills.
