*Position Summary:*
PacWest is seeking a dedicated *Medical Director* to lead our clinical care team. The ideal candidate will provide medical oversight, ensure regulatory compliance, promote best practices in geriatric medicine, and support our commitment to quality care for residents.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Serve as the primary clinical leader within the facility
* Oversee all aspects of medical care for residents
* Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including CMS guidelines
* Collaborate with nursing staff, attending physicians, and administrative leadership
* Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
* Lead infection prevention and control efforts
* Provide guidance and education to clinical staff on geriatric care standards
* Attend interdisciplinary care plan meetings and family conferences as needed
*Qualifications:*
* MD or DO with a valid medical license in Washington State
* Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred
* Knowledge of SNF regulations and CMS requirements
* Leadership and team-building skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
*Preferred:*
* Certified Medical Director (CMD) designation through AMDA
* 3 years of experience in post-acute or long-term care settings
* Experience with value-based care models and quality metrics (e.g., QAPI, Five-Star Ratings)
