We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. This role requires a strong understanding of various patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those in acute care settings. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support to patients in various environments.
*Duties*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
* Develop and implement personalized care plans based on assessment findings.
* Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and quality of life.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for patients.
* Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, goals, and home exercise programs.
* Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
* Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy through ongoing education and professional development.
* Participate in early intervention programs as needed.
*Qualifications*
* A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Valid state licensure or certification as required by law.
* Experience in acute care, pediatrics, geriatrics, ICU, school settings, or skilled nursing facilities is preferred.
* Knowledge of physiology and occupational health principles.
* Strong ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
* Commitment to providing compassionate care and promoting patient independence.
