Job Title : Partner Relations Coordinator
Location : Office Hybrid - Altoona, Iowa or North Liberty, Iowa
Exemption Status : Salary, Non-exempt
Schedule: Monday-Friday during business hours with potential for early morning or evenings to meet hospital and agency scheduling needs. Occasional Saturdays required to support IDN presence at conferences and requires travel within the state with potential for overnight.
Compensation: $63,300 - $79,100
*Iowa Donor Network determines final compensation based on education, experience, and skills relevant to the position.

Position Summary:
Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships and processes to support and maximize donation activity within hospital and out-of-hospital systems such as county medical examiners, emergency medical personnel, and hospice providers. This role entails problem solving and advocating for Iowa Donor Network’s mission alongside the needs of our hospital and out-of-hospital partners to create a culture of donation.
Essential Functions and Performance Responsibilities:
A successful Partner Relations Coordinator will develop and maintain positive relationships with our hospital and out-of-hospital partners to build comprehensive donation processes and high-performing donation programs. Work includes building and maintaining hospital and out-of-hospital agency policies and profiles, providing education, developing strategic plans, conducting follow up and after-action reviews, and performing data analysis. Engagement at team and organizational meetings is necessary. Partner Relations Coordinators may be required to perform other duties to help meet team or organizational needs and goals.
Position Qualifications and Education Requirements:
A degree in marketing, nursing, life science, public relations, or social work, with 1-2 years of prior relevant work experience. EMT, paramedic, or nursing experience desired.
Skills and Abilities:
- Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and represent IDN professionally.
- Effectively present information in small and large group settings in person and online.
- Prepare materials to meet the purpose and the audience.
- Navigate a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Work both independently and collaboratively.
- Develop relationships with clients of diverse backgrounds in all areas of a healthcare organization and system.
- Receive and provide direction.
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance.
- Effectively use computers and computer software including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, internet tools, and electronic mail.
Physical Requirements:
- Must receive required vaccines based on outlined schedules to protect our employees, healthcare personnel, donors, recipients, and families we may come into contact. (e.g., Influenza obtained annually by December 1st and COVID vaccine upon required timeline.)
- Require travel to the office and donor hospitals through the State of Iowa.
- Express ideas verbally and convey detailed or important spoken information.
- Receive detailed information through oral and auditory communication.
- Require driving a vehicle under various conditions that may lead to visual and mental fatigue.
- Sit for periods of eight (8) hours or more at a time in an office setting.
- Lift equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Possible mental and visual fatigue associated with detailed work.
- Work requires stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling (seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with hands).
