Overview GovCIO is seeking a skilled Senior Linux System Administrator with an active Secret clearance to join our dynamic Operations team. This fully remote position allows you the freedom to work from anywhere in the United States. Responsibilities As a Senior Linux Systems Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the security and performance of our Linux-based systems. Your primary responsibilities will include: Administering and maintaining RedHat Linux servers, while additional experience with Ubuntu and CentOS is a plus.
Managing a RedHat Satellite server to ensure seamless operation and performance.
Executing system administration tasks including package management and module deployment.
Implementing effective logging solutions for system monitoring and resolution of issues.
Performing vulnerability remediation across our systems to protect our environments.
Developing scripts and software to automate production processes using languages such as Bash, Perl, Ruby, or Python.
Exhibiting advanced expertise in Linux system administration and security measures.
Troubleshooting complex system issues with a high degree of proficiency.
Communicating clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
Demonstrating strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Working independently while also contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree along with over 8 years of experience in Linux System Security, including update applications and vulnerability remediation, or equivalent experience. Posted Salary Range The salary range for this position is USD $115,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr., with the final offer dependent on various individualized factors.
