Job Overview Join us as a Senior Database Systems Administrator and take on the exciting challenge of building, managing, and securing Oracle databases and Exadata infrastructure in various environments, including VMs in OCI. Your role will be instrumental in addressing complex database issues, managing system capacity, and identifying automation opportunities that enhance system efficiency. You will be key in triaging database alerts, diagnosing root causes, and executing corrective measures to ensure optimal performance. Your efforts will contribute significantly to managing both Non-Production and Production Standby databases and Golden Gate, while you also mentor team members and facilitate effective communication with leadership, clients, and peers. As part of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to develop and standardize policies and best practices that align with industry standards and security requirements. Key Responsibilities Proactively troubleshoot complex database alerts and issues, identify underlying causes, and implement corrective actions while seeking opportunities for automation.
Establish and uphold advanced database security measures in compliance with industry standards such as DISA STIGs.
Conduct forecasting to predict future database needs effectively.
Implement best practices for database management encompassing architecture, security, and automation.
Stay informed of industry trends and align practices with MAA best practices.
Communicate clearly with peers, leadership, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
Advise development teams on optimal data architectures and database capabilities.
Evaluate and introduce technological enhancements to improve database availability and performance through automation.
Lead the creation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans for database technologies and cloud databases.
Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on transitioning on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud.
Plan for the migration of databases to the Autonomous Database for improved performance.
Work collaboratively with various teams to succeed in the execution of roadmap projects.
Disclaimer: Certain customer-facing roles may require compliance with applicable health mandates. The compensation range for this position in the United States is $87,000 to $178,100 per annum, including eligibility for bonuses and equity.
