The Backend Software Engineer is responsible for the following:
Develop and/or maintain high expertise in software engineering and best practices with an emphasis on Python and Django. Develop safe and efficient custom solutions to complex clinical trial data/workflow problems. Program and configure study-specific reports. Create re-usable data modification scripts. Work with clients and third-party vendors to develop web service and other integrations with external APIs. Participate in internal investigations and root cause analysis. Acquire and maintain product expertise and consult on the technical product configurations. Provide expert technical support for other teams. Willing to travel for training and team meetings. Requirements
The position requires programming experience in Python or similar object-oriented programming language. Professional technical support experience and strong communication skills are also essential.
Education and/or Certification Requirements
The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, biotech or related field. Equivalent experience with at least 5 years in a related field may be considered. Industry experience of key product functionality (randomization, drug supply management, forecasting and natural language processing) is an asset.
Compensation:
$50,000 - $80,000
