Description Leidos is on the lookout for an experienced
Senior Network Solutions Engineer/Architect
to join our Resilient Network Practice. This role is vital for our team and will primarily involve onsite work in Newark, NJ, though we encourage applications from candidates who can travel to Newark. POSITION SUMMARY: The selected candidate will bring hands-on technical expertise within the Network Practice of the Digital Modernization (DigMod) Sector. As a Senior Network Solutions Engineer/Architect, you will bridge the gap between technical knowledge and business development. Your focus will be on promoting Leidos Network solutions to federal clients, ensuring they align with their requirements, and driving successful integration of our services. Responsibilities may involve developing innovative strategies and solutions based on your experience and insights. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: No initial clearance is needed to begin; however, you must be able to secure and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of network technologies (e.g., IaC, SD-WAN, wireless, NFV). Articulate the technical benefits and use cases of Leidos Network Mission Drivers to potential clients. Stay updated on network trends and emerging technologies to effectively position Leidos capabilities. Lead initiatives to enhance our offerings portfolio, leveraging your extensive technical knowledge. Client Engagement: Serve as the technical Sales Engineer/Architect collaborating with senior management to identify customer needs and propose tailored solutions. Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations for government customers. Work alongside the CTO organization to create demonstration environments for hosting repeatable offerings. Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders to drive long-term partnerships. Provide consulting and guidance to influence client decisions and ensure project success. Solution Architecture: Collaborate with capture teams to design secure and resilient networking solutions that fulfill customer needs, including SD-WAN and wireless technologies. Architect multi-cloud connectivity solutions to support federal mission objectives. Implement advanced segmentation strategies to enhance network security across various environments. Develop innovative solutions to address complex challenges using your technical expertise. Ensure the delivery of enterprise-scale network solutions aligns with client mission goals. Champion best practices in network architecture to continuously improve Leidos offerings. Lead proposal efforts related to solution architecture and technical narratives. Deploy and demonstrate repeatable offerings such as SD-WAN and micro-segmentation capabilities to customers. Collaboration: Work with team members, client stakeholders, and external partners to ensure project alignment and communication. Influence leadership on design and process improvements in the practice area. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree with a minimum of 15+ years in network architecture or engineering roles; additional experience may substitute for a degree. Extensive experience in NMS and infrastructure-as-code concepts. Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying scalable solutions in cloud environments. Proven record in resolving complex challenges in network architectures. Strong leadership skills with experience leading teams in network solution implementations. Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines in dynamic environments. Ability to obtain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance; higher-level clearances are preferable.
