This is a high-profile role ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of traffic management operations on a large-scale construction programme.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor traffic management plans in line with project requirements and local authority regulations.
Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient traffic and pedestrian flows.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with health & safety legislation.
Liaise with local authorities, emergency services, and the public regarding road closures, diversions, and temporary works.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of traffic management activities, permits, and approvals.
Provide training and guidance to site staff on traffic management procedures.
Candidate Profile: Proven experience in traffic management within civil engineering, infrastructure, or major road projects.
Valid CSCS / Safe Pass / SLG (Signing, Lighting & Guarding) certification essential.
Strong knowledge of Chapter 8 / Temporary Traffic Management guidelines.
Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure on complex, live traffic environments.
