Senior Compiler Engineer - GPU / AI / LLVM

We are currently partnered with an industry leading semiconductor company in Ireland looking to expand their headcount at their central European R&D Centre with a Senior Compiler Engineer. This role focuses on compiler technologies that optimize ML workloads for GPU acceleration, pushing performance boundaries through advanced graph-level optimizations.

This is a permanent working opportunity based in Cork, Ireland.

• Develop and optimize compiler infrastructure for machine learning graph compilers and runtimes
• Apply graph-level transformations and GPU hardware utilization techniques
• Evaluate and improve ML framework performance on GPUs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align compiler features with GPU architecture
• Create detailed technical documentation and contribute to the design of new features

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 2+ years of industry experience in compiler development or GPU programming
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with LLVM or MLIR
• Experience with at least one GPGPU API (e.g., SYCL, CUDA, or OpenCL)

• Deep knowledge of GPU architecture and GPGPU code optimization
• Experience with machine learning graph compilers and runtime systems
• Familiarity with MLIR-based compiler infrastructure
