We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout our facility. You will assist with receiving, storing, picking, and shipping operations, ensuring that inventory is managed accurately and efficiently. This position requires physical stamina and a strong commitment to Safety. You will work closely with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move products. Key duties include loading and unloading delivery trucks, organizing inventory in designated storage areas, and preparing orders for shipment. You'll also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The ability to perform manual Lifting of items up to 50 pounds is essential, as is the correct use of any mechanical aids. We emphasize the importance of wearing the correct PPE to ensure your well-being. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, dollies, and other equipment.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated locations.
- Assist with order picking and packing processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving functions as needed, including manual Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to perform manual Lifting and physical tasks for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Familiarity with basic material handling equipment.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment within the logistics sector.
