Lead our operations in Durham, North Carolina as a Warehouse Supervisor! Our growing Logistics center is seeking a proactive and experienced leader to manage daily warehouse activities and ensure operational excellence. You will oversee a team of warehouse associates, delegate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure all processes are executed efficiently and safely. This role demands strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment. You'll be responsible for implementing and enforcing Safety policies, managing inventory accuracy, and optimizing workflow to meet shipping and receiving deadlines. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can motivate a team and drive results. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record in warehouse management. This role requires the ability to handle occasional Lifting of heavy items and a thorough understanding of Logistics best practices. Your leadership will be instrumental in our success. Ensure all team members adhere to Safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff.
- Delegate tasks and monitor employee performance.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Implement and enforce company Safety policies and procedures.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Resolve operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, and shipments.
- Ensure adherence to all Logistics and operational standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement Safety programs.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience with budget management is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
