We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics operations in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts and other machinery, loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and ensuring materials are organized and accessible. Safety is our top priority, and all employees must adhere to rigorous safety standards, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stock and retrieve inventory accurately.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a strong asset.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 75 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
