Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Minneapolis, Minnesota? Our logistics facility is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement of goods. This role is vital for the efficiency of our warehouse operations, requiring skilled operation of forklifts and a thorough understanding of logistics procedures. You will be responsible for handling materials with care, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining a safe environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to load and unload freight from trucks, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse efficiently and safely.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately tracking the movement of goods.
- Organize and maintain warehouse stock, ensuring clear aisles and safe storage practices.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including wearing the required PPE.
- Follow all logistics and operational procedures to ensure smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet operational targets and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
