We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to load and unload shipments, move materials within the facility, and assist with inventory management. Our ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The ability to perform manual lifting of up to 50 pounds is also essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring accurate product counts.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance forklift skills and safety awareness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
