We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to manage our stockroom in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and assisting with stock organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that inventory data is precise and up-to-date, which is vital for our **logistics** operations. - Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Verify incoming and outgoing inventory transactions.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and maintain stockroom layout for efficiency and **safety**.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of new stock.
- Adhere to all company **safety** policies and **PPE** requirements.
- Assist with **lifting** and moving inventory as needed, using proper **lifting** techniques.
- Support the **logistics** team by providing accurate inventory data.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) and basic computer skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate **lifting** (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse **safety** and **PPE** protocols.
