We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials within our facility. You will be responsible for operating equipment, transporting goods, and maintaining inventory accuracy. A strong commitment to **safety**, precision in handling materials, and the ability to work effectively in a demanding environment are essential. As a Material Handler, you are a key player in our **logistics** network, ensuring that materials are where they need to be, when they need to be. We emphasize the correct use of **PPE** and adherence to all **safety** protocols, including proper **lifting** techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of material handling equipment and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Reliability and a keen eye for detail are highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock placement.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Ensure all materials are handled and stored according to **safety** guidelines.
- Adhere strictly to **PPE** requirements, including hard hats, **safety** glasses, and vests.
- Follow established procedures for **lifting** and material movement to prevent injuries.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse **logistics**.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Certification on relevant equipment (e.g., forklift) is preferred.
- Ability to perform **lifting** up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse **safety** practices and **PPE** usage.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced **logistics** environment.
