We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Richmond, Virginia location to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize shrinkage and improve overall inventory accuracy. This role requires a meticulous approach, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of inventory management systems and logistics. You will work closely with the receiving, stocking, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow and to resolve any issues that arise. Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment is crucial for efficient inventory management. Your dedication to accuracy and efficiency is vital to our operations and customer satisfaction. Adherence to all company Safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. While not the primary focus, occasional Lifting up to 25 lbs may be required. This is a key role in optimizing our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report potential stockouts or overages.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Process incoming and outgoing inventory transactions accurately.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements.
- Ensure warehouse organization and cleanliness to facilitate inventory management.
- Uphold all Safety standards and use required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform occasional Lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Understanding and commitment to Safety practices.
