We are hiring a Material Handler for our facility in Atlanta, Georgia, to support our ongoing logistics operations. This role is critical for moving materials, parts, and finished goods within the warehouse efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from various departments using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if certified). This position requires a strong work ethic, physical fitness, and a keen eye for detail to ensure materials are handled correctly and stored appropriately. You will work closely with production and shipping teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is also a key aspect of this role. Your contribution is essential to our supply chain effectiveness. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all employees are required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety guidelines. Significant physical exertion, including regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs, will be required. This is an excellent entry-level position within the warehousing and logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Stage materials for production or shipping.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly storing and labeling materials.
- Assist with physical inventory counts.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and material handling procedures.
- Strong understanding of Safety protocols.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
