We have an immediate opening for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Tampa, Florida. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and organizing all goods that arrive at our facility. This role is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the smooth flow of products through our logistics pipeline. You will be working closely with suppliers, shipping carriers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies and ensure timely processing of incoming materials. A keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential for success in this position. The ability to perform moderate Lifting is also required. Your role is critical in upholding the integrity of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify quantities and product codes against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label items appropriately for storage or distribution.
- Report any shortages, damages, or overages to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including some Lifting of packages.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in data entry and inventory management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Understanding of Safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
