Are you a certified Forklift Operator with a passion for efficiency? We are looking for skilled individuals to join our warehouse team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials. Your expertise is crucial to maintaining the flow of goods in our logistics operations and ensuring the highest standards of safety .
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, etc.) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and various warehouse locations.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Accurately move and stack inventory according to warehouse layout and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear and safety is prioritized.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, including order picking and packing, when not operating a forklift.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operating procedures and warehouse safety .
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Compliance with all PPE requirements.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
