We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials throughout our facility. Your efficiency and attention to detail are vital for maintaining smooth logistics operations and ensuring the safe handling of goods. The ideal candidate will have a current forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, and the ability to operate machinery with precision. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to support the receiving, storage, and shipping of products. Safety is our top priority, and all forklift operators must strictly adhere to all Safety guidelines and regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical demands, including regular moderate to heavy Lifting of materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas.
- Stack and organize inventory accurately.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
- Participate in all required Safety training.
- Handle moderate to heavy Lifting when not operating equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of Safety principles and best practices.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting.
- Must wear and properly use all required PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
