Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and effectively. Your duties will include unloading trucks, verifying received goods against purchase orders, inspecting items for damage, and properly stocking inventory. On the shipping side, you will pick and pack orders, prepare shipping labels, stage products for carrier pickup, and maintain accurate shipping records. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to safety are paramount. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all associates are required to adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. Opportunities for advancement within our growing logistics network are available for dedicated individuals. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Responsibilities:
  • Unload and receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
  • Properly store and organize inventory within the warehouse.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
  • Generate shipping labels and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
