We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This position is critical to ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. You will be responsible for preparing shipment documentation, labeling packages, verifying order contents, and coordinating with shipping carriers. A keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of logistics procedures are essential. Safety is paramount in our operations, and you must strictly follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). While this role is primarily administrative, some lifting and moving of packages may be required. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure timely dispatch of orders. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Generate shipping labels and required documentation.
- Verify the contents of orders against shipping manifests.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping records.
- Ensure all packages are properly sealed and labeled for transit.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and wear necessary PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any shipping-related issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier online portals.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and best practices.
- Capability for occasional moderate lifting.
- Commitment to safety and correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
