What Does a Form F Assessor Do?As a Form F Assessor, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the futures of foster children. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough assessments of prospective foster families, ensuring that children and young people are placed in safe and nurturing environments.
To excel in this role, you should be able to:
- Produce and present high-quality, evidence-based analytical fostering assessments.
- Have a solid understanding of child care legislation, including the Children Act 1989, Fostering and Adoption Act 2002, National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services, and Fostering Services Regulations.
To join our team, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a qualified social worker.
- Have significant post-qualification experience in relevant Foster Parent assessment work.
- Be registered with your country's applicable social work council (e.g., SWE and SSSC).
- Hold or be willing to obtain professional indemnity insurance.
- Be willing to attend a mandatory induction day and training sessions.
- Have unrestricted access to your own transport and be open to travel.
- Pass statutory and company checks as part of the assessment process.
- Ideally, have completed and presented at least one Form F Assessment to Panel.
