We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our growing logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. This crucial role ensures the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for unloading deliveries, verifying received items against purchase orders and packing slips, inspecting for damages, and accurately entering receiving data into our system. Your attention to detail is vital in maintaining inventory accuracy and preventing supply chain disruptions. You will work closely with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any receiving discrepancies. Safety is a core value in our warehouse, and all employees must strictly adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves physical tasks, including the lifting and movement of goods. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
- Inspect incoming shipments for any damages or discrepancies.
- Accurately record receiving information in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label received inventory appropriately.
- Report any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform tasks involving lifting up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Proficiency with WMS or similar inventory tracking software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and commitment to using PPE.
