We are hiring an Order Picker for our Sacramento, California distribution center! This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving products from our warehouse shelves. This is a physically demanding but rewarding position for individuals who are detail-oriented, motivated, and enjoy working in a dynamic warehouse environment. Your contribution is essential to maintaining our high standards of customer service and operational excellence within the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick merchandise from warehouse locations based on order tickets or electronic scanners.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities against order requirements.
- Transport picked items to designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring aisles and workstations are clear.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate manual lifting devices such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor promptly.
- Strive to meet established productivity targets and quality control standards.
- Assist in other warehouse duties as needed to support the logistics team.
- Understand the flow of goods within the warehouse and the broader logistics network.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
- Capability of performing lifting tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all warehouse safety regulations.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
