As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for accurately moving, storing, and preparing materials for various processes, including shipping and receiving. Your duties will involve operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory within the warehouse. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all employees are required to strictly follow safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position demands physical strength, the ability to perform frequent lifting, and a solid understanding of warehouse safety practices. Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is highly desirable. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, possess a strong sense of responsibility, and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the facility.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counting and stock checks.
- Ensure materials are properly packaged, labeled, and secured.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and use required PPE.
- Identify and report any hazards or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification preferred.
- Physical ability to handle repetitive tasks, including significant lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic knowledge of warehouse safety and logistics procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good coordination and dexterity.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate reliability.
