Join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland, as a Receiving Clerk! We are seeking a diligent and organized individual to manage the incoming goods process for our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately recording received items into our inventory system. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks efficiently and safely.
- Verify quantities and product information against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and route received goods to appropriate storage areas.
- Communicate any receiving discrepancies to supervisors or purchasing department.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
- Strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, and operate basic warehouse equipment.
Your precision in verifying shipments and adherence to safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, are vital for this logistics position. Occasional lifting may be required.
