We are seeking an accurate and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our logistics operations in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. Your duties will include performing regular cycle counts, investigating and reconciling inventory discrepancies, receiving and processing incoming shipments, and ensuring proper storage and organization of goods. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure that inventory levels are accurately reflected in our system, which is vital for efficient operations and timely order fulfillment. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and a commitment to Safety are essential. You will be required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed. This position involves some physical activity, including moderate Lifting and standing for extended periods. Contribute to the success of our supply chain by ensuring precise inventory control.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory accurately.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all stock.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage stock rotation.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Properly use required PPE when handling materials.
- Assist with tasks involving moderate Lifting as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and Safety protocols.
