Our Detroit, Michigan distribution center is looking for a motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our dedicated team. This multifaceted role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be involved in various aspects of warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving and unloading inbound shipments.
- Stock and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers (certification may be required).
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Follow all Safety protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is advantageous.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Proficiency with warehouse equipment operation.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
