Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This vital role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is critical for efficient logistics and timely order fulfillment. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. This position requires a sharp analytical mind and a meticulous approach to data management. You will work with inventory management software and collaborate with various departments to maintain optimal stock accuracy. Upholding the highest standards of Safety in all inventory-related activities is paramount, and you will be expected to enforce these protocols. We provide comprehensive Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all warehouse operations. While this role may involve some physical tasks, such as organized Lifting of inventory items for counting and verification, the primary focus is on accuracy and system management. A solid understanding of warehouse procedures, logistics, and inventory control best practices is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports.
  • Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams on inventory needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety regulations and proper handling of materials.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of Safety procedures related to warehouse inventory.
  • Ability to perform some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
  • Willingness to use provided PPE when required.
