- Global FinTech Partnering with a global FinTech organisation, we are seeking to hire an experienced Senior Data Engineer on a 12-month, extendable contract.
We're looking for someone who can build and deploy ETL pipelines (using Informatica Cloud, SSIS and AWS / Snowflake ideally), work hands-on with MS SQL (developing stored procedures) and who has expertise in processing & transitioning large SQL data into Snowflake using AWS S3 to create reusable, centralised datasets.
You will also be engaging closely with the business, collaborating across Product Owners, Data Scientists, Data Engineers to deliver real-world solutions across Financial services & wealth management / Investment services solutions.
Role snapshot Contract: 12 months (with potential extension) Location: Ireland South East
- onsite 2 days per week mandatory Start date: ASAP Rate: €500-€550 per day (DOE) Working model: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week) Tech stack: Informatica Cloud, SSIS, MS SQL, Snowflake, AWS S3, Tableau, Power BI, Tableau What you'll be doing: Design, build and deploy scalable data engineering solutions and data products that solve real problems Owning end-to-end delivery in an Agile squad: requirements discovery, solution design, build, testing, deployment and support ETL/ELT: build and optimise data processing pipelines using Informatica Cloud and SSIS, ingesting from SQL databases & other data sources CSV, API's, etc Transforming data across platforms, such as SQL-to-SQL, SQL to Snowflake using AWS S3 for centralised, reusable datasets Code advanced MS SQL stored procedures, views, etc Provision curated datasets/data products and enable downstream analytics and reporting.
Build reporting outputs in Tableau and Power BI to generate business value Collaborate directly with business stakeholders (product owners, data scientists, engineering & operations) to define requirements and deliver quality outputs Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade and continuously improve existing data solutions based performance & value to the business Essential Experience & Skillset required: 5 years+ Senior Data Engineering experience, designing and developing solutions from requirements through to deployment (We are not interested in someone whose main focus has been primarily on production support) Strong experience building data integration and processing pipelines using ETL/ELT tooling
- Informatica (cloud) and SSIS Strong MS SQL (stored procedures, views, performance tuning and troubleshooting).
MS SQL experience delivering into Snowflake and using AWS S3 patterns Clear stakeholder communication; comfortable validating outputs and building Reports & Dashboards in Tableau / Power BI.
