- Friday Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee a group of warehouse operations across the Galway region.
This role will also play a key part in a major project to consolidate multiple warehouse locations into one central facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong people leader with proven warehouse management experience, ideally with a Counterbalance forklift licence, to join a growing and dynamic organisation.
Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations across multiple warehouse sites, including receiving, storage, and dispatch activities.
Lead and coordinate warehouse teams (approx.
12 staff) ensuring high levels of productivity and operational efficiency.
Play a central role in the strategic consolidation of multiple warehouses into a single site.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and enforce safe handling, storage, and movement procedures, including chemicals where applicable.
Oversee inventory management, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies alongside the Stock Controller and Operations Manager.
Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands while minimizing downtime.
Train, mentor, and develop warehouse staff to maintain high performance and engagement.
Collaborate with transport, logistics, and customer service teams to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Conduct warehouse inspections and audits to maintain quality standards and site organisation.
Manage and resolve operational issues while maintaining positive employee relations.
Requirements Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Supervisor.
Strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory systems.
Solid understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and logistics processes.
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock and operational reporting.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations within warehouse environments. xcfaprz
