Telehandler & Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Telehandler and Forklift Operator to support electrical crews in a warehouse environment in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role will focus on safely moving, staging, and organizing electrical materials and equipment to ensure smooth workflow and productivity for electricians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate telehandlers and forklifts to move electrical materials, conduit, reels of wire, panels, and jobsite equipment
• Load, unload, and stage materials for distribution to electricians
• Transport pallets, crates, and bulk materials throughout the warehouse
• Assist with inventory organization and material tracking
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain safe operating procedures
• Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times
• Coordinate with warehouse supervisors and electrical foremen to prioritize material needs
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of forklift and/or telehandler experience (warehouse or construction preferred)
• Valid forklift certification (required)
• Experience moving electrical materials preferred
• Strong awareness of warehouse safety protocols
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting electrical or construction trades
• Familiarity with conduit racks, cable reels, panels, and jobsite material staging
• Ability to read pick tickets or material lists
