Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. This vital role involves providing direct resident support in a long term care facility. As a CNA, you will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, personalized care that promotes comfort, safety, and dignity for all individuals. *Responsibilities*
* Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
* Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely communication of changes to the Charge Nurse.
* Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support*.*
* Maintain detailed medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of patient records.
* Assist with complex medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, or wound dressing changes in accordance with clinical protocols
* *Qualifications*
* Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by Maine state licensing board
* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices
* Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like ECS for medical documentation.
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices while maintaining patient safety standards.
