Join our dynamic warehouse team in sunny San Diego, California, as an Inventory Control Specialist! We are seeking a highly organized and analytical individual to manage and maintain the accuracy of our extensive inventory. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting precise cycle counts, investigating and resolving any stock discrepancies, processing necessary inventory adjustments, and implementing process improvements to enhance overall inventory integrity. You will work hand-in-hand with our logistics, shipping, and receiving departments to ensure smooth operations and accurate data. The ideal candidate brings a sharp analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable. Safety is a fundamental aspect of our workplace, and all employees are expected to rigorously follow safety procedures and utilize the required PPE at all times. While much of this role involves data analysis and system management, occasional physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds for inventory checks, may be necessary. Responsibilities:
- Execute regular cycle counts and physical inventory verification.
- Identify, investigate, and reconcile inventory variances.
- Accurately record inventory adjustments and transfers.
- Analyze inventory data to monitor stock levels and identify potential issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce loss.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure inventory accuracy at all stages.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the WMS.
- Uphold stringent safety standards, including the consistent use of PPE.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse space utilization based on inventory data.
- Must be comfortable with occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs for stock audits.
