Design Manager

Necto Selection are delighted to be working with one of Ireland’s leading contractors as they look to appoint a Design Manager on a permanent basis. Delivering projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe, they have long established themselves as the industry leader and experts across commercial, data centres, education, healthcare, life sciences, leisure, transport and infrastructure.

This builder and contractor is at the forefront of innovative pharmaceutical construction, and as a Design Manager, you’ll initially work within their life sciences and pharma division, delivering significant, multi-million-euro projects across Ireland and Europe.

The role has arisen due to growth and would suit someone with a background in either CSA or MEP. The role is process-driven and will involve stakeholder management. There is no design development within the role. A hybrid working setup can be arranged, and with offices across Ireland, the structure of the role can be flexible to suit the right individual. There could be occasional European travel to locations such as Switzerland, the Netherlands or Belgium, for example, when required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver significant, multi-million‑euro life‑sciences and pharmaceutical projects across Ireland and Europe.

• Manage stakeholder relationships and lead stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure process fidelity and operational excellence in project delivery.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams for seamless project transitions.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience within a related discipline.
• Experience in pharma, data centres, biotech, or commercial construction.
• Experience in construction management, project management, or a project lead role.

The successful Design Manager will join an industry leader, offering a long‑term, fulfilling career with ongoing training and development. You can expect a starting salary in the region of €90,000 - €105,000, depending on experience, and a package including a company vehicle or travel allowance, laptop, phone, life insurance, a generous pension, and a range of wellbeing and leisure benefits.
