What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

Reporting into the Facilities Manager and Site Services Manager, you will coordinate and implement facility/utility projects and support facilities management program to deliver safe and reliable utilities/facilities for customers and business.


The Facility Engineer will have a strong electrical and controls background providing critical technical capability needed to maintain, develop, and protect the site’s electrical infrastructure and automation systems, inclusive of below Key Responsibilities:


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining LV/MV electrical distribution systems
  • Oversight of UPS, generators, and emergency power systems
  • Power quality monitoring and issue resolution
  • Arc‑flash risk assessment and electrical safety controls
  • Electrical load planning for current and future capacity
  • Engagement with local utility service provider i.e. ESB

Major Responsibilities

  • Interacting with Architects, M&E Designers/Engineers on matters relating to building services.
  • Assisting Design teams on development of site-specific Facility/Utility equipment/processes as required.
  • Commissioning, organising and assessing the work of contractors.
  • Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures.
  • Making life‑cycle outcomes about existing systems equipment and the appropriate location of new equipment.
  • Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systemsmeetslegislative and health and safety requirements.
  • Generate and execute validation protocols, trials/ studies and create associated reports for facilities/utilities.
  • Performing and analysing data, evaluating results, forming conclusions & contributing to Facility/Utility process improvements.
  • Identification and implementation of Cost Improvement and innovative Opportunities for Facility Operations.
  • Oversight of facilities/utilities preventative maintenance program

Qualifications/experience

  • 3+ yearsrelated work experience
  • Qualification: Certificate/Craft Certificate/Third Level Qualification in Engineering/Automation/Mechanical/Electrical
