Senior Project Manager

Davis Events is entering a groundbreaking new chapter following the acquisition of Whitelight Events. This exciting new phase is set to fuel significant expansion, leading to the creation of several new roles. We are thrilled to announce our first key addition: a Senior Project Manager to lead delivery and growth of our Whitelight Events portfolio.

Reporting to the Business Director, the role focuses on delivering complex project plans for our most valued clients. We seek a highly motivated, meticulous self-starter who excels at administration, spreadsheets, clear communication, and confident client management.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind our key client projects and an influential leader in our newly expanded business.

End-to-End Project Leadership: Lead and deliver a diverse range of complex meetings and events from initial strategy through to post-event analysis. This includes developing clear project roadmaps, setting critical deadlines, and managing client expectations to ensure flawless execution and on-time completion.

Financial & Administrative Oversight: Mastermind all high-level project administration, including meticulous management of complex budgets, negotiation of contracts, ensuring insurance compliance, and conducting accurate financial reconciliation after each event.

Operational Excellence: Oversee all on-site and virtual event elements, from managing AV and catering to security and registration, ensuring seamless operation and alignment with the overall project plan.

Driving Efficiency: Actively seek opportunities to optimise project workflows, integrate enabling event technologies, and streamline processes to maximise resource utilisation and overall profitability.

Strategic Client Partnership: Act as the primary relationship manager for our most valued accounts. You will translate client goals into actionable project plans, offer strategic advice, and ensure long-term trust and loyalty through outstanding service and communication.

Growth & Collaboration: Identify & drive new business opportunities by collaborating on compelling proposals and bids. You will also work cross-functionally with internal teams (Creative, Marketing, Operations) and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.

• Experience: 7+ years’ proven experience in events, marketing, and project management (ideally in an agency environment).
• Organisational Acumen: Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills, able to manage multiple complex projects under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Client Engagement: Strong client-facing and relationship management expertise.
• Communication: Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills. Fluency in the English language is vital to this role and requires confidence in script writing, brief writing and copywriting.
• Financial Expertise: Confident in budget management, contract negotiation, and supplier liaison.
• Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated success in proposal/bid development with a strategic approach.
• Technology Fluency: Strong understanding of event technologies, including MS Office suite, Google Workspace, Canva, CRM systems, and Project Management (PM) tools.
• Leadership & Attitude: Natural problem-solver with a positive, proactive, flexible attitude, and collaborative leadership qualities.
• Education: Third-level qualification in Business, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Event Delivery: Extensive end-to-end event management experience, including virtual, hybrid, and onsite delivery.
