The Branch Manager leads and directs all aspects of the individual branch, including: management of personnel, route sales, volume growth, profitability and asset management. They are responsible for administrative and fiscal responsibilities as well as hands-on tasks to include: recruiting, hiring, training and motivating service representatives. Other daily duties will include: managing the physical branch, delivering world-class customer service, resolving customer issues, and controlling costs.
This role reports to the Service Manager.
Responsibilities
- Branch manager must regularly meet with key customers, assess current service levels, identify emerging and or unmet needs, and implement corrections and or recommendations that improve service effectiveness.
- Achieve Branch goals in budget, customer retention, revenue and profit growth, and material control.
- All activities connected with customer service and retention for the assigned routes in the branch, including profitability, rerouting, pricing, material control, safety, fleet maintenance, etc.
- With Area Management team, develop area pricing and contract terms strategy for each market segment.
- Recruit, hire and train approximately 5-8 service members in a timely manner on service, revenue growth, product knowledge, negotiation, industry knowledge, pricing, and profitability.
- Protect company resources including members, material and fleet resources by following all Morgan policies.

- Comfortable with face to face communication with customers and the ability to build business relationships and has strong negotiation skills.
- Strong curiosity to learn about current issues that affect our customers and the ability to uncover issues our customers are not aware of yet.
- Self-starter with ability to seek out alternative solutions to unclear and complicated issues.
- Understands another’s point of view.
- Extremely flexible and can handle sudden changes to routine.
- High sense of urgency and follow through.
- Reliable, disciplined, trustworthy, and uses a common sense approach to customer issues.
- Highly organized and uses time efficiently.
- Comfortable with technology.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis and move heavy pre-loaders and backup service reps when needed on routes.

- College degree preferred
