Overview We are actively seeking
EXPERIENCED CMT TECHNICIANS
who are ready to travel for exciting long-term projects across the country. Join our team and work on innovative projects, from Windfarm installations to major manufacturing plants. To qualify, you need a minimum of: ACI Concrete Certification 6 months of hands-on experience Valid Driver's License Clean Motor Vehicle Record Good background check As a traveling technician, you'll receive a weekly per diem to cover food and living expenses while working near the project sites. If you enjoy outdoor work and collecting essential data for construction, this Engineering Technician role could be the perfect fit! This position involves providing testing observation on assigned projects according to industry specifications for independent testing laboratories. Scheduling Note:
Expect to work NIGHT shifts and some WEEKENDS. Be prepared for a flexible schedule, with reliable transportation required to and from the office at all hours if necessary. Responsibilities Management may assign or change duties as needed. Responsibilities include: Understand and execute written and verbal directions Review civil and structural specifications related to the scope of work Conduct tests, inspections, and observations based on project requirements Submit daily field reports documenting tests and observations Communicate non-conformance items to project supervision Maintain and calibrate all assigned equipment according to standards Operate and ensure safety of nuclear density gauges Demonstrate understanding of Proctor Compaction Test and USCS Soil Classification Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Fundamental knowledge of construction material testing and documentation Ability to maintain accurate test records and prepare reports Proficient use of computers and software applications Strong communication skills for effective relationships Professional demeanor and the ability to handle stress and multiple priorities Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting and carrying objects or materials up to 50 lbs. Able to climb ladders and scaffolding Maneuver effectively around construction sites Good visual/hearing ability to communicate effectively in English Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of 6 months experience ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I Certification Portable Nuclear Gauge Safety Training Certification Trained in One-Point Proctor testing Work Schedule: This position is generally full-time, with normal hours from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. Expect adjustments to fit client schedules, including potential weekends, nights, and early mornings. Travel: Daily travel to construction sites is expected, usually within 100 miles from the home office. Short-term (less than 2 weeks) and occasionally long-term out-of-town job assignments may be required with prior notice.
