Head of Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Head of Software Engineering to lead a team currently delivering a SAAS based product, leading a full-stack team working across a modern cloud-native stack comprised of a Node.js (Angular) Frontend, sitting on a. .NET(ASP Core) backed on Amazon Aurora / AWS.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the following key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the engineering team, taking responsibility for delivery of all engineering development, ensuring alignment with commercial goals and product vision.
  
• Own the Technology Strategy and Roadmap
  
• Optimise engineering delivery through shorter release cycles, automation-first QA and measurable performance metrics.
  
• Establish and maintain security governance and AI frameworks to meet enterprise standards and reduce compliance risk.
  
• Ensure infrastructure is validated, scalable and resilient to support growth
  
• Manage senior stakeholders, conduct engineering reviews for executive stakeholders, providing visibility on KPIs, risks and progress.
  

• 
  
• 10+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in engineering leadership roles
  
• Proven background of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams in a SAAS environment.
  
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in backend engineering and cloud infrastructure.
  
• Strong operational skills - able to drive incidents to resolution and implement process improvements, balancing feature delivery/enhancements with quality, performance, and reliability
  
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  
• Strong relevant academic background, ideally to Master’s level preferred.
