Join our dedicated team where we provide specialist engineering servicesin the Design andConstruction of High Voltage Transmission and DistributionAssets for the Networks Business.
The team specialises in;
- Conceptual and detailed EngineeringDesign.
- Design Safety Management.
- Project programming andcommercial management.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will cover the items below:
- Provision of the requisite civil and structural technical engineering services withintheStations Civil Teamfully embracing ESB’s Safety Culture.
- Prepare civil and structural engineering technical specifications, reports and design drawings.
- Undertake site inspections, data collection and analysis to facilitate effective technical designs and / or technical assessments.
- Specify and manage sub-contractor and sub-consultant inputs for site investigation, assessment, feasibility, design and consenting purposes.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Working as part of this dynamic team, you will always have new challenges and new problems to solve – working together is key. You will have the autonomy to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems with the support of your colleagues.
We are looking for the followingskills.
- A high level of specialist expertise, including a strong technical capability, in Civil or Structural engineering.
- Strong project management and program management skills.
- Ability to work and share knowledge and competencies within a team structure.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong safety awareness and competency.
- At least 2 years relevant Civil or Structural engineering experience.
- A full clean Irish/EU driving licence
- Flexibility to travelnationwide.
Qualifications
Level 8 Engineering Degree, Level 7 Engineering Degree with relevant experience.
Location
This role is based inDublin or Cork Officesbut travel to project locations asrequired, is a key requirement of the role
The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.
