Junior Kitchen Manager

About the Role

Are you ready to embark on an exciting culinary journey? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant team at Butlin’s Restaurants in Skegness! Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in running our kitchen and leading a dynamic team of up to 15 passionate individuals.

At Butlin’s, making our guests smile is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll ensure that our guests remain the central focus of all operational decisions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Resource planning and recruitment to build the best team.
• Monitoring guest experiences and developing action plans for continuous improvement.
• Delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to high standards.
• Ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.

As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll inspire your team to deliver exceptional experiences every time. You’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop skills in our main buffet restaurant, serving guests who have booked a half-board dining package.

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience in a similar role, or those eager to step up to the next level in their kitchen career. Here’s what we’re seeking:

• A hardworking and determined individual who thrives on getting things done.
• Energetic and fun-loving candidates who understand the value of enhancing the guest experience.
• A Level 3 Food Safety qualification and confidence in leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Experience in managing margins, controlling costs, and ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Typical Working Hours: You’ll work five days over seven, covering 40 hours per week, and you’ll be part of a bonus scheme.
