Job Description

Join a dynamic team leading the deployment and replacement of civil air traffic surveillance radars—both approach and en-route—across the United States. As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in delivering advanced radar solutions that enhance the safety and efficiency of air traffic nationwide.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition of system architecture and analyze functional and technical requirements for large-scale radar deployments.
  • Design and document technical interfaces, ensuring seamless integration of all components, including COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) and third-party systems.
  • Coordinate and drive internal and formal technical reviews, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Prepare essential technical documentation, such as Interface Control Documents (ICD) and System Test Plans (TP), in collaboration with the Product Department.
  • Oversee and approve partial deliverables throughout all project phases, working closely with Field Engineering teams.
  • Ensure successful delivery and integration of radar systems at multiple sites distributed across the United States.
  • Foster collaboration with the System Engineering organization and other multidisciplinary teams to guarantee project success.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, proactively resolving issues and promoting continuous improvement.

  • Systems Thinking: Ability to understand and design complex systems, integrating multiple technologies and components for air traffic surveillance solutions.
  • Project Coordination: Skilled in managing parallel activities across multiple sites, ensuring consistent progress and quality in distributed deployments.
  • Requirements Analysis: Expertise in gathering, analyzing, and translating functional and technical requirements into actionable system specifications.
  • Interface Management: Strong capability in defining, documenting, and managing technical interfaces between system components, including COTS and third-party systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Commitment to maintaining high standards through rigorous technical reviews, validation processes, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Documentation: Proficiency in preparing and reviewing key technical documents such as Interface Control Documents (ICD) and System Test Plans (TP).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying risks, resolving technical challenges, and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments, managing changing priorities and complex project requirements.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical management/leadership, field engineering, systems engineering, and project management within radar, air traffic surveillance or similar sectors.
  • Bachelor or higher preferred (Technical or Engineering Degree).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Travel up to 30% (Generally closer to 10-20%)
