Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support the Mobility Air Forces Distributed Mission Operations (MAF DMO) program. In this role, you will join a highly collaborative technical team responsible for supporting Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) events, mission networks, site connectivity, cybersecurity, and related technical functions. This role is NOT eligible for remote or hybrid work and is executed on-site. The systems you maintain enable mission readiness, operational effectiveness, and national defense capability. Your expertise keeps these mission-critical networks secure, reliable, and ready when they're needed most. What You Will Do You will help maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and collaborate closely with network administrators and mission partners. Responsibilities include: Designing, installing, supporting, and maintaining MAF mission network servers, computer systems, and peripheral connections Configuring and modifying software; performing configuration management in accordance with all Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) cybersecurity requirements Planning for and responding to service outages and system issues Supporting integration of Operational Testing & Training Infrastructure (OTTI) technologies and MAF DMO solutions Providing application support for office automation tools and Modeling & Simulation software Supporting Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and continuous monitoring Implementing workstation patches, security fixes, and service releases Identifying, analyzing, and documenting long-range system requirements Traveling as needed, including internationally What You Must Have Education & Experience (one of the following): Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in a related field OR High School Diploma/equivalent and 7 years of relevant experience Technical Skills Experience implementing and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows NT operating systems (bare-metal and virtual machine installations) Basic understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking Experience configuring software and performing configuration management IAW STIGs and cybersecurity requirements Experience maintaining core VMware technologies (vCenter, ESXi, vSphere Networking, vMotion) Experience documenting processes, procedures and other technical information Experience tracking tasks and documenting resolutions to issues utilizing a ticketing system such as Solarwinds, Remedy, Jira, or related. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple work assignments Credentials Must hold a Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II or higher certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA CySA+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Cisco CCNA Security, or ISC SSCP). Must be a U.S. citizen Must hold a current or active DoD Secret Security Clearance Physical Requirements Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
