Systems Senior Engineer - Sensors Software - C / Python / MATLAB

We're partnered with a global semiconductor organisation with a strong Sensors Technologies group in Cork, Ireland. They are looking for a Systems Senior Engineer to join the team, working 5 days onsite.

This position offers exposure to leading edge sensor technologies deployed across smartphones, automotive, IoT, smartwatches, XR and wider consumer electronics.

The role spans the full product lifecycle, from early R&D through to commercial deployment.

You will work closely with systems, software, and integration and test engineers, implementing and optimising signal processing and machine learning algorithms across embedded SoCs.

Key focus areas include:

• 
  
• Implementation of sensor signal processing and ML algorithms in C
  
• Translating MATLAB algorithms into production quality C code
  
• Debug, verification, optimisation and performance tuning
  
• Python and MATLAB for modelling and validation
  
• RTOS and multi threaded programming environments
  
• Performance, memory, power and complexity trade off analysis
  
• Prototype development on reference hardware platforms
  
• Algorithm deployment support and documentation of SW architecture
  

This role would suit an engineer with 3+ years embedded software experience, particularly those working with DSP, ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, and sensor technologies including accelerometers and gyroscopes. xcfaprz
