Your Tasks

Do you enjoy working in a complex environment of products touching the lives of millions of users every month and systems processing millions of requests every second? You are keen to develop long-term technical strategies to help frontend development teams deliver value to our customers quickly and reliably? Then we're looking for you. WEB.DE and GMX are among the most used email providers in Germany. Help us streamline and advance our frontend tech stack across divisions, design target architectures for projects spanning multiple systems, and advance our enterprise architecture.

• You create the enterprise and high-impact system architecture for our high-volume frontends that meet our business requirements.
• As part of the Enterprise Architecture team, you lead the company-wide community of application and solution architects promoting excellence, transparency, and innovation.
• You define the guard rails, technology stack, and standards which guide the solution architects and software development teams in defining and delivering the architecture for their components.
• You develop the architectural vision for our frontends and take responsibility for putting it into practice.

Your Profile

You are a recognized domain expert and experienced lateral leader with a strategic view and a customer-centric mindset.

• You are a good communicator and a great listener in both English and German.
• You have a proven track record of designing target architectures and breaking these big pictures down into deliverables.
• You're used to be a software developer yourself and have expert knowledge in frontend technologies.
• You stay up to date regarding JavaScript/TypeScript, DOM, REST, and JSON, plus modern architecture based on libraries such as React or Angular.
• You value close collaboration with your peers responsible for backend and mobile native architectures.
