ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, assess, and manage potential safety, technical, financial, regulatory, and operational risks impacting engineering maintenance and projects.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk analyses to evaluate likelihood, impact, and exposure levels.
• Develop, implement, and monitor risk mitigation strategies to safeguard project scope, budget, timelines, and overall success.
• Build and apply mathematical models and scenario simulations to assess potential risk outcomes.
• Gather and analyze historical data, industry benchmarks, and market trends to support data-driven risk evaluations.
• Prepare and deliver clear, actionable risk reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings, exposures, and recommended actions.
• Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of risk assessments, mitigation plans, and ongoing monitoring activities.
• Continuously monitor internal progress and external factors, updating risk assessments as conditions evolve.
• Support the development of contingency and emergency response plans.
• Provide risk-based insights to inform strategic decision-making and project governance.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to proactively address and mitigate risks.
• Promote a strong culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement within the engineering department.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Qualification, experience, and demonstrable expertise in risk assessment and risk management
• 5+ years’ experience in a risk-focused role, including quantitative analysis
• Solid understanding of risk and safety standards (e.g., CSM REA, ISO 12100, RAMS)
• Understanding of the regulatory environment and systems such as CSM Risk
• BowTie, Zonal Hazard Analysis, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, and other risk assessment knowledge is preferred.
• Understanding of technologies and environments associated with infrastructure and Transport
• Good understanding of commercial and legal aspects of system risk
